Gilligan’s top head is a little over 5 inches in diameter and is dome shaped. The highly-embellished floral carving at the crown, top of the column, base and feet is coupled with a fleur de lis pattern at the bottom of the column - both. Perhaps I’ll feel much better about what I want out of a harp and not have to fuss about it much. Could it fit Gilligan? I would like to know because rather than go renting another harp with a crown on top to play music on alongside Gilligan, I can give Gilligan just a gold crown to wear on his head, instead. Now when I visited Valkyrie Cordes site, I notice there is a gold crown being sold for $200 for Venus Harps.
With spacings and tension similar to pedal harps, this harp is suited both as a lifetime instrument or as a first step towards a pedal harp. A perfect harp for a performing artist desiring a rich, dark-colored, tone with classic projection from Lyon and Healy. One major want for a harp is a gold crown on top of the pillar.
Even after I rented Gilligan, my Venus Classic harp, I’m still being fussy over what I really want for a harp.
